Quick Tip 1

1. Go see a dermatologist! I could not stress enough how useless all the other acne fighting tips are If you haven't seen a doctor. In my book, you really have nothing to complain about until you see one. I did delay my first doctor visit for way too long and the result is that I got some pretty bad permanent scars. That is also why people need to stop feeding the myth that "acne is a normal condition at puberty that will pass on its own". Sure it might pass (or it might not!) but it will leave something nasty behind.

I'm back

Its been a while since I last posted. Sorry to those who waited for the results. I am now ready to post the pictures. Stay tuned till tomorrow or later today. Meanwhile I'll start my planned mini post series called "Quick Tips"

Pictures

I've decided not to post pictures every week. Mostly because there really isn't much to report yet, things have improved a bit. Nothing that couldn't have happened without the drugs thou.
At the moment it seems I might have some postable results by the end of week 2. There's definitely something  going on with my skin.

I really haven't had any serious side effects. My lips are a bit dry but that's a minor nuisance. Other than that I feel fine. Currently I'm taking 40 mg a day. Seeing my dermatologist by end of my first month, might get a bigger dosage then.

Before pictures

So I'll start of with some "Before" pictures. As you can see I got a really bad surface acne, the deeper cystic acne isn't that bad at this point but I do get massive breakouts from time to time. Also the camera flash makes it look a bit worse than it really is. At least I hope so!

Blog is compleatly shifting focus (again)

I've deleted all my previous posts because I'm once again shifting focus. This is now a Acne blog! LOL!

I'll be covering my acne story and most of all, my recently started Roaccutane (Accutane) treatment. I will add weekly pictures of my face and back and talk about any side effects that I might encounter. I'll also include my previous experience with all kinds of other treatments.

Starting from tomorow!
Stay tuned if you have acne and are looking for tips!
